January 1st, Frank Harmsen (49) joined PNA Group as director/shareholder in Heerlen. Previously, Frank was a partner at EY Advisory, where in recent years he was responsible both nationally and internationally for transformation and digitization projects.

Besides his new role, Frank will also remain active as professor by special appointment of knowledge and information management at Maastricht University. He will lead PNA Group together with current director Maurice Nijssen. Maurice is delighted with Frank’s arrival. “We complement each other. With his background, Frank fits perfectly within PNA. His broad practical experience as an organizational advisor to leading organizations is very valuable to us. With his experience at board level, we can have even more impact.”

With Frank’s experience at large consultancy organizations such as EY and Capgemini, PNA can grow without losing the uniqueness of the company. The arrival of Frank strengthens PNA’s position in the academic and commercial network. Maurice: “For our current customers, this means that they are even better assisted in the process of securing knowledge from start to finish.Frank has a wealth of experience in the field of consultancy and a real hands-on mentality. Of course I hope to attract new customers together with him.”

Logical step

For Frank, the switch from a large organization like EY to PNA makes sense. “After working for larger companies for almost 25 years, I was drawn more and more to entrepreneurship. Having my own company seemed like an interesting challenge, but what could be better than joining like-minded people? PNA suits me both in terms of content and culture. I want to use my experience to help PNA take the next step.”

PNA’s head office in Heerlen, is an area known to Frank. “I have always had a weakness for the south. During my time at Capgemini, I established and managed an establishment in Heerlen. Of course PNA is not only bound to the south, after all we work nationally and internationally.”

Use knowledge productively

In recent years, PNA Group has gained a prominent place in the market for modeling, recording and use of knowledge. The company does this in a way that makes organizations agile, while at the same time (continuing to) comply with laws and regulations.

Maurice: “With Frank there, PNA is now even more capable of carrying out complete innovation and transformation processes for our customers, including its strategic and change management side. Together with PNA, we can make the world handle knowledge more productively and sustainably.”
